RE:
HIT-COUNTERS, PLEASE NOTE:
For reasons that remain unclear, but which possibly
involved so-called "hackers", the separate organisation responsible for
hosting this web site has lost all (or most) of the electronic information
for this site on two separate occasions to date. The first occasion was on or around October 8th 2002, and the second was on or around August 22nd 2003. Following both of these incidents, the first of which was reported to the police (on October 9th 2002), all of the hit-counters (including the one above) were reset to zero in the process of restoring this site to the Internet. Consequently, only the hit-counter readings on the pages created after August 23rd 2003 are believed to be accurate. Pages created before August 23rd 2003 will all have received more visits than shown on their respective hit-counters at the present time. In the case of this particular page (for example), which is the "Home Page", the number of visitors is many thousands more than indicated by the hit-counter reading shown below. |
