Text of letter from Mr Gerard Madden
(Senior Social Worker) to the
Sperrin Lakeland 01 June 2006 The Registrar RE MR WILLIAM FINNERTY, I am writing to you in regard to the above named
gentleman who I understand made an application to the European Court of
Human Rights on 25 March 2006. Mr Finnerty has informed me that to
date he has not received acknowledgement of his application; and my
concern is the detrimental impact of this situation on his health.
Mr Finnerty suffers from a condition known as Post Traumatic Stress
Disorder (complex) which in the opinion of his GP (i.e. his medical
doctor) has resulted from cumulative traumas and stresses he has
experienced "at the hands of individuals and public officials and bodies
that he has encountered in his struggles to correct environmental wrong
doings". Viewed in this context, the absence of ANY
communication from the Court is clearly having a very negative effect
and I would therefore respectfully request that this matter be given
urgent attention and sympathetic consideration. Should you wish to
discuss further any aspect of this letter, seek further information
etc., please do not hesitate to contact myself directly. In
conclusion, and with many thanks in advance for your understanding and
co-operation. Gerry Madden |
