The Dunkellin Country Rural
Development Group is a local development organization which is centered in New Inn (County
Galway).
Its aims are to support (and to initiate) projects
in education, culture and arts, enterprise, and social affairs.
Committee business meetings are held in New Inn
Vocational School on the first Wednesday of each month at 9 p.m. Members of the
public are welcome at all of these monthly meetings - as are their ideas and suggestions
for improvements to the local community.
Annual events organized by the Dunkellin Country
Rural Development Group include:
"BUSINESS & CRAFT" fair (usually
held in early December) - which provides an opportunity for local people to advertise
their products and services;
"SUMMER ACTIVITY CAMP" for children
(usually in July). A very wide range of activities is made available - all of which
are supervised in a highly responsible manner. Where appropriate, such as with
hurling for example, expert coaches are provided. Transport is included.

Note: Community Office is located
in the New Inn Leisure Center.
