Majella,
However strange and/or
frightening it might seem to some, all of my work over the past 8 years or so
strongly suggests (to me at least) that nothing of significance can be achieved
by way of lasting peace and justice unless the problem of corruption referred to
in the Indymedia publication below is addressed head-on.
You
may wish to note that in spite of the fact there are now several articles on the
Internet (by myself and others) accusing Justice Minister McDowell of
corruption, some of which are listed by Google, he is not making any attempt
(that I know of) to take out injunctions to have these articles removed: as
would be normal if the allegations were false.
I believe this
is entirely because Justice Minister McDowell (who is a senior lawyer of course)
knows perfectly well that attempts by him to have the articles in question
removed by legal injunction would very rapidly make matters much worse for
himself - simply because he knows the allegations are true and can easily be
proved in a court of law.

Shell only appear to be succeeding at Rossport
because of unlawful bullying, bullying, and yet more bullying, which they have
tricked the
Garda Siochana (Police) into delivering on their behalf - and
which, thanks to the
media barons and the
state broadcasters, the
vast majority of the voters have been duped and hoodwinked into believing is
"strong government" acting in the best interests of the "common good" of all
Republic of Ireland citizens.
In reality, it is a lawless and
corrupt Government acting in the best interests of some of the world's richest,
most ruthless, most powerful, and most dangerous
thugs.
