Gerry,
After seeing you yesterday afternoon, I unexpectedly received the LAS (Legal Abuse Syndrome) e-mail information reproduced below. I have read the "summary" information at the associated web address provided, and much of it applies to my case.
In particular, I can fully understand the statement: "Legal Abuse Syndrome is a Post Traumatic Stress Disorder resulting from abusive and protracted litigation" - which in my case is the protracted FAILURE to find a lawyer willing to help me to litigate against people like Minister for Justice McDowell TD, who is perverting the course of justice at my expense. Please note that Minister for Justice McDowell continues to completely ignore the letter I sent to him (on August 4th 2006) at the following address:
http://www.europeancourtofhumanrightswilliamfinnerty.com/JusticeMinisterMcDowell4August2006/Letter.htm
Far more worrying for me, is the fact that Minister McDowell appears to have the full support of all of his senior public-official colleagues regarding the way he is handling my case.
"In English or Irish law, perversion of the course of justice is a criminal offence in which someone acts in a manner that in some way prevents justice being served on either themselves or on a third party. Perverting the course of justice is an offence in common law. It carries a theoretical maximum sentence of life imprisonment, although no sentence of more than 10 years has been handed down in the past one hundred years." (This piece of text has come from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perverting_the_course_of_justice .)
Also, in case you might have trouble finding it, the text of Article 13 ("Right to an effective remedy") of the Republic of Ireland's "European Convention on Human Rights Act 2003" can be found at http://www.irishstatutebook.ie/2003_20.html . It reads (in full) as follows:
"Everyone whose rights and freedoms as set forth in this Convention are violated shall have an effective remedy before a national authority notwithstanding that the violation has been committed by persons acting in an official capacity."
As we discussed yesterday, I hope you will be able to arrange a meeting with Greg Nolan (Solicitor) regarding the Article 13 issue; and, the telephone I have for him at "Patrick Hogan & Co", Dunlo Street, Ballinasloe, County Galway is: 090 9642110. From Northern Ireland, I believe the number you will need to dial is: 00353 9096 42110. (The principal lawyer at Hogan & Co. is Mr John Glynn, who is a barrister.)
Also, and allowing for the way Gerald and Margie appear to be afraid to discuss my legal difficulties with Greg Nolan, the thought has crossed my mind that it may prove useful (if they were both willing) for them to be present at any such meeting you might be able to arrange with Greg Nolan. As I related to you yesterday, I asked Gerald and Margie to try and find out from Greg Nolan why Hogan & Co are so unwilling (for so long) to help me with my growing legal and financial difficulties - when they both met up with him (i.e. Greg Nolan) at last Wednesday's auction in Roscommon.
Please note that Hogan & Co have acted on behalf of my family for decades (going back as far as the 1930s I suspect), and that they hold the legal papers connected with my home and some other property in New Inn. Also, Gerald and Margie have taken copies of both of Dr McCavert's (GP) "To Whom It May Concern" letters to Greg Nolan (by hand) within weeks of they being written in 2005. Electronic copies of the two letters in question can be viewed at:
http://www.europeancourtofhumanrightswilliamfinnerty.com/Constitution/DrMcCavertLetter6September2005.htm
http://www.europeancourtofhumanrightswilliamfinnerty.com/DrMcCavert28October2005/Letter.htm
As I mentioned to you yesterday, a potentially dangerous (but very effective) coping strategy suddenly entered my mind in the run-up to the last Christmas holiday period, which involves the fact that, at any time, I can bring the horrendous and ongoing mental torture I am being subjected to at the hands of the legal profession to an end with the use of a length of hose-pipe connected to the exhaust of my car.
Please note that I mentioned the subject of "mental torture" to Prime Minister Ahern TD in my letter to him last December at the following address: http://www.europeancourtofhumanrightswilliamfinnerty.com/PrimeMinisterAhern12December2006/Letter.htm . However, I have not received any reply to this letter from Prime Minister Ahern, or from Chief Justice John L. Murray: in spite of the fact that printed and signed copies were sent through the registered post to both of these people, as can be seen at the address immediately above.
As I informed you yesterday, I genuinely believe there is a possibility that I will actually end up with a set of negative feelings which are strong enough to make it possible for me to eventually use the hose-pipe: if, that is, I continue to be denied my legal rights under the law relating to (for example) Article 13 of the Republic of Ireland's "European Convention on Human Rights Act 2003"; the "CRIMINAL JUSTICE (UNITED NATIONS CONVENTION AGAINST TORTURE) ACT, 2000 (Republic of Ireland); and, Article 40.3.2° of Bunreacht na hEireann (Constitution of the Republic of Ireland), which reads: "The State shall, in particular, by its laws protect as best it may from unjust attack and, in the case of injustice done, vindicate the life, person, good name, and property rights of every citizen."
In case there might be any doubt about it, please note that I have believed, for the past several years, that the ongoing attempt to corruptly criminalise me, or to keep me living in "forced exile" for the rest of my life (under the threat of using the extant warrant for my arrest to force me, for a THIRD time, to appear in court in a manner that violates my rights under Article 6 of the European Court of Human Rights ) as an "unjust attack" of the type mentioned in Article 40.3.2° of Bunreacht na hEireann (which, as you will no doubt already know, literally translates to "The Basic Law of Ireland").
Best wishes,
William Finnerty.
