Freemasonry has been hi-jacked?

Like several other people I suspect, some of the nicest and most decent people I have ever met were Freemasons.
 
Unfortunately it also seems to me, and to many others apparently, that Freemasonry MIGHT have been hijacked by high-powered, high-influence internal cliques who are possibly having a very negative influence on a large swathe of society at the present time, and which is extremely difficult to prove because of the all secrecy involved. Similarly for a number of other such secretive organisations - such as (for example) the Bilderberg Group, The Bohemian Club, the Trilateral Commission, and so on.
 
More government "openness" by public officials, or "public servants" as they are referred to in some states, may be the answer? - and this seems to me to be the main theme of an e-mail I received earlier today from a Glasgow woman named Kim Sterling. Though I know nothing really of the "Open Society" Group she mentions in the e-mail reproduced at the address just below, some may find the contents "thought provoking":
