Dear Sir or Madam,
With due regard for the
statement - reproduced below - in the letter from
Mr Madden (Senior
Social Worker in Omagh) of December 13th 2005 letter to
Minister
Hanson MP which relates:
"His efforts to secure
proper legal representation have been thwarted at every turn ...
", it would be very much appreciated if you would please take
steps to ensure that I am provided with the services of a suitable lawyer
without further ado; and, that with
The European Convention on Human
Rights, and the
CONVENTION AGAINST TORTURE and Other Cruel, Inhuman or
Degrading Treatment or Punishment (United Nations) in mind you will not allow the mental torture I am being
put through for the past several years to go on any longer.
Please note
that Mr Madden also sent a very similar letter on my behalf to
Minister for Justice Michael McDowell TD on November 7th 2005
(which he appears to be completely ignoring) the text of which can be
seen at:
http://www.constitutionofireland.com/GerardMadden7November2005/Letter.htmPlease
find copies of two e-mails reproduced below which I feel are
self-explanatory.
Yours sincerely,
William Finnerty.

For future reference purposes I will place a copy of this e-mail at:

Dear Mr
Finnerty,
David Hanson MP, Minister for Criminal Justice, has asked me to
reply on his behalf to your letter of 9 December 2005.
I am afraid I
cannot be of much assistance in addressing your concerns, as these lie beyond
the jurisdiction of the Northern Ireland Office. I would advise that your first
port of call for queries regarding legal representation would appear to be the
Law Society of Northern Ireland.
Their contact details are as
follows:
The Law Society of Northern Ireland
Law Society House
98
Victoria Street
Belfast BT1 3JZ
http://www.lawsoc-ni.org/ Thank you for your
letter.
Yours sincerely
[Signed]
The Secretary
Criminal
Justice Directorate
Northern Ireland Office
cc. Mr Gerard J Madden

Dear Ms Ennis,
I assume your e-mail below refers to the
letter I sent through the registered post to Minister Hanson MP on December 9th

note that Mr Gerard Madden (Senior Social Worker in Omagh) also wrote to
Minister Hanson on December 13th 2005 regarding the difficulties I am
experiencing with finding a lawyer. Scanned copies of his two page letter
can be seen at:
http://www.constitutionofireland.com/GerardMadden13December2005/Letter.htm With
due regard for the statement in Mr Madden's December 13th letter to Minister
Hanson which relates:

please take steps to ensure that I am provided with the services of a suitable
